The Jubilee Angel heralds the Year of the Jubilee. After seven, seven-year cycles, or 49 years, the 50th year brings grace for all the suffering children of man, freedom to the captive, relief to the weary and rest to the earth. The Angel stands atop the sphere of the Earth, surrounded by the seven celebration bells. Her message ascends in the form of the sweet and tender Dove of Peace.

Gone Fishing!
Grab three of your best guy friends for two days of guided wade fishing by Rockport’s most famous guide, Jay Watkins( pending his availability). Your host John Kafka has thought of everything! Upon your arrival, your group will meet at Rockport’s finest Mexican Restaurant, Los Comales, for Margaritas (not too many…you will be up early to fish the next day) and Mexican Food. After dinner there is plenty of room to relax in the Kafka’s spacious home on Key Allegro Island whether it be in the crow’s nest, the outdoor wooden decks overlooking the canal and Little Bay or the family room complete with a big screen TV.

Get up early the next day( breakfast provided) and fish all day with Jay Watkins, fishing guide extraordinaire, who will take you wade fishing for speckled trout, redfish and flounder with artificial lures(lunch, soft drinks and beer are included). After fishing on the first day, enjoy your favorite drink at the house and relax on the outdoor decks. For dinner, Rockport’s finest chef at The Yacht Club will perfectly prepare your catch to your specifications (blackened, pan sautéed almandine, etc…your choice)! Wine and drinks of your choice will be served with your meal.

Day two will be a repeat of day one and the group will fish until 2pm so there is plenty of time to return to Houston to tell fish stories! An alternate trip could also be arranged for the group which would include one day of fishing and a round of golf at The Rockport Country Club if anyone would so desire. This would be a lot of fun as well. Bring a good pair of sunglasses, a hat, your rods and reels and a passion for fishing! Transportation to and from Rockport is not included.
